Halloween

I woke up the morning before our ward Halloween with inspiration for costumes. Thank heavens, otherwise Cage would have been going in his soccer uniform. And the best part is that I didn't spend a single dollar, I had all the stuff already at home. Here it is- a magician, his magic bunny, and magic card deck. Happy Halloween! 

P.S.- Kelly, I know Annie was going to be a bunny too right? Please post some pictures!!

Cage's 1st soccer game

I know you all (ok, mostly Mom) wanted to see pictures of Cage's first soccer game. So here they are. I tried uploading a video but it didn't work. I'll post it on Facebook instead.

He did so well! He loves playing soccer. So far he is the youngest kid on the team. The other boys are closer to 5. He still doesn't understand exactly what he's supposed to do. He just runs from one end of the field to the other with no purpose and no care for where the ball is. And he does it with the biggest grin on his face. I cannot help but laugh and grin along with him. He loves doing it and I get a kick out of watching it. The games are 20 minutes long, just enough for both the kids AND the parents. Our team is Mexico and this week we played the USA. Dave loves coaching. The kids pretty much adore him too.

Mesa Turkey Trot

I am signing up for a 10K(6.2 miles) over Thanksgiving weekend. The race is called the Mesa Turkey Trot and it's Thanksgiving morning at 9 am. I know that I'm probably the only person in this family that actually LIKES running, but if anyone else wants to race with me, it would be really fun! And if you don't want to run 6 miles, they have a 2 mile or 1 mile fun run. And if you don't want to run at all, you can stand at the finish line and cheer for me :-) It's $25 for the 10K and $15 for the fun runs. Mia Sophie

I guess Kelly is complaining that she hasn't seen enough pictures of Mia. So here are a bunch to satisfy her craving. But in return, I request that she post tons of pictures of Miss Annie. I know you guys must have a bunch from the mountains!

Some fun facts about Mia (who is 2 months old today!)
- her favorite position is to sleep on somebody's chest
- she likes to suck on her hands for comfort
- she is a great sleeper. She is down to only eating once a night (yay for more sleep!) and takes naps exactly when she is supposed to
- she LOVES to be swaddled
- she has terrible gas pain :-( We are using Mylicon daily
- Cage loves her and has no jealousy issues
- Dave is crazy about his little girl. I think he's got a crush ;-)
- Her nickname is "baby girl". Sorry we couldn't come up with anything more original, haha
- she is the best BYU cheerleader ever
